Disney Summer Art Associate Portfolio

Just spent a weekend getting this portfolio together... I got far less work done than I expected/wanted but I'm done at least. I usually don't watermark, but I'm feeling a little paranoid...

I initially applied for just Vis Dev Character Design but added Story Artist at the last minute for the heck of it. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!

Star Wars

A painting I did for a Star Wars artwork competition. I ended up doing like three versions... this is the third/final one, which is soo much better than the others that I'd be embarrassed posting those.
This is Jaina Solo fighting Darth Caedus (Jacen Solo).

Character designs for Omega

Turnarounds for a game character named Omega. The developer requested a heavily anime-inspired style. She's also supposed to be a combination of Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo and Ryofu from Ikkitousen, if you guys happen to know who those characters are...

A lot of figure drawings from the past few months...

From Justin Bua's class at USC and from figure drawing workshops at Pasadena Artcenter. From newish to oldish.

It's too bad the Gladiator Two-figure Composition Seminar at The Guild wasn't as good as I thought it might be. :(

Digital Illustration at CDA

I'm taking Digital Illustration at the Concept Design Academy in Pasadena with Robert McKinnon. So far, I'm learning a lot! Here are some creature designs for The Thing.

Celtic Warrior Woman

Done at the Drawing Club in Glendale. I really love this model; she has a nice legendary-looking face that reminds me of Tilda Swinton.

Check out work by other artists on this model, as well as other models at the Drawing Club's blog.

Yes it's my sketchblog!

So after unsuccessfully trying to maintain a website for my sketches, I decided to just make a blogspot for them. Here are some figure drawings I scanned a while ago.

The last two are from Karl Gnass' Morphing class; the rest are from his normal figure drawing class. Karl only gives his Morphing class at the Guild during the summer, but I encourage everyone to take it!
